Blackjack: Quick Guide

Goal: Beat the dealer by having a hand value closer to 21 without going over.

Card Values:

  • Number cards = face value

  • Face cards (J, Q, K) = 10

  • Ace = 1 or 11 (whichever benefits you)

Basic Play:

  1. Start: Each player gets 2 cards; dealer gets 1 face-up, 1 face-down.

  2. Player Decisions:

    • Hit: Take another card.

    • Stand: Keep your current hand.

    • Double Down: Double your bet and get exactly 1 more card.

    • Split: If you have two of the same card, split them into two hands.

    • Surrender (if allowed): Forfeit half your bet and end the hand.

  3. Dealer Rules: Dealer must hit until reaching 17 or higher.

Winning:

  • Hand > dealer’s hand without busting (over 21)

  • Blackjack (Ace + 10-value) usually pays 3:2

  • Dealer busts

Craps: Quick Guide

Objective:
Bet on the outcome of a roll (or series of rolls) of two dice.

The Basics

  • Two six-sided dice

  • Shooter: The player rolling the dice

  • Come-Out Roll: First roll of a round

Bet Types

1. Pass Line Bet (Most common)

  • Come-Out Roll:

    • Win if 7 or 11

    • Lose if 2, 3, or 12

  • Point Established:

    • Shooter rolls the “point” number (4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10) before a 7 → Win

    • 7 before point → Lose

2. Don’t Pass Bet

  • Opposite of Pass Line

  • Win if 2 or 3 on come-out, lose if 7 or 11

  • 12 = push (tie)

  • Once point is set: Win if 7 rolls before point, lose if point hits first

3. Come / Don’t Come Bets

  • Same rules as Pass/Don’t Pass but placed after point is established

4. Odds Bet

  • Extra bet behind Pass or Don’t Pass

  • Pays true odds (no house edge)

5. Place Bets

  • Bet on specific numbers (4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10) to roll before a 7

  • Payout varies by number

6. Field Bet / Proposition Bets

  • One-roll or short-term bets with higher payouts but higher risk

How to Play

  1. Shooter makes a Come-Out Roll.

  2. Bets are resolved based on the roll.

  3. If a point is set, shooter keeps rolling until point or 7 appears.

  4. Winning bets are paid, losing bets are collected.

Tips

  • Start with Pass Line + Odds — simplest and lowest house edge

  • Avoid complex proposition bets as they are high risk

  • Stick to outside bets until comfortable

Three Card Poker: Quick Guide

Objective:
Make the best 3-card poker hand to beat the dealer.

The Basics

  • Played with a standard 52-card deck

  • Step 2: Receive 3 cards

  • Step 3: Decide to Play (match ante to continue) or Fold (lose ante)

  • Step 4: Dealer reveals hand

    • Dealer qualifies with Queen high or better

    • If dealer doesn’t qualify → Ante pays even money, Play bet pushes

    • If dealer qualifies → compare hands:

      • Player wins → Ante and Play pay even money

      • Player loses → lose Ante and Play

2. Pair Plus

  • Paid based on hand rank, independent of dealer hand
