Mural Dedication Ceremony at Molly Mutt Thrift Shop Celebrates Art, Community, and Compassion
COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT
Rockledge, FL — April 13, 2026
A Landmark Gift to the Community
This striking mural, generously created and donated by AbstractDissent artist Shane Pierce, transforms the exterior of The Molly Mutt Thrift Shop into a colorful visual landmark that welcomes visitors and celebrates the human–animal bond.
Designed to inspire reflection and curiosity, the artwork captures the spirit of hope. That spirit defines the Brevard Humane Society’s mission. It serves as both a beacon for the thrift store and a reminder of the lifesaving work supported through every donation, purchase, and act of generosity within our Molly Mutt Thrift Shops.
Artist Shane Pierce shared his vision behind the project, expressing his desire to create something that would “make people stop, smile, and feel something.” His work reflects the deep emotional connection between people and animals—and the powerful impact of community support on the Space Coast.
Art with a Heart: More Than a Thrift Store
Molly Mutt Thrift Shops are more than retail spaces. Together, they are a vital part of the Brevard Humane Society’s mission.
Every item donated and every purchase made directly supports:
- Shelter and care for homeless animals
- Medical treatment and wellness services
- Adoption programs that help pets find forever homes
- Community outreach and humane education
This mural stands as a visual representation of that impact, honoring the thousands of lives changed through community generosity and engagement.
