Job Description:

The Brevard Humane Society is seeking a part-time opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Assistant to work at our high quality, high volume, low-cost spay/neuter, and wellness clinic. Interested candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment and have the ability to function with confidence as well as with a team. Must provide excellent customer service for our clients and their pets. Maintain the quality and efficiency of the clinic office. Use of computerized record-keeping system including appointment scheduling, medical input, and use of multi-line phone system experience required. Must have strong compassion for animals; be self-motivated, capable of multitasking, an excellent communicator, detail-oriented, work in a team environment and possess a positive personality.   • Pick-Up/Delivery Driver & Pick-up/Delivery Driver Assistant

Job Description:

Provide pick-up and delivery of animals, DOA, furniture, donations, misc errands as needed.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  • Responsible for submitting a daily driver’s log, Vehicle Safety checklist and the cleaning of vans and organization vehicles. • Ability to work alone or as a team member.
  • Follow all Safety rules and report any accident and unsafe conditions (Vehicle or Personal) immediately to Supervisor.
  • Responsible for delivery of bank deposits. Also delivery of paychecks to the Thrift stores and Merritt Island Adoption center.
  • Pick-up money from other agencies for the shelter.
  • Responsible for the pick-up and delivery of animals, furniture, supplies and other items (listed on the Driver Log Sheet) to be pick-up and delivered to Molly Mutt Thrift stores, and other locations as instructed.
  • Responsible for the pick-up and delivery of DOA and Cremations as needed.
  • Support special events when needed.
  • Deliver and pick-up of newspapers and aluminum can and delivery to recycle plant.
  • Perform all other assignments or duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

– High School or GED

– Clean driving record

Experience:

– Able to drive a truck or van.

– Experience moving furniture helpful, but not required.

Skills:

– Good driving record.

– Ability to count money.

– Able to lift 70 lbs.

Dress Code:

– Polo/Collar shirt, BHS T-shirt or Scrub top

– Jeans or long shorts (No rip or tears)

– Safety shoes (Steel toe shoes or sneakers)

– Name Tag/Badge.

  • Animal Care Technician

Job Description:

Looking for an individual to assist part-time in maintaining the kennel and the animals housed in our facility at 1020 Cox Road, Cocoa FL 32926.

  • Will assist in morning duties prior to opening; keep kennels and cages cleaned throughout the day and make sure the animals are happy and healthy.
  • Daily washing of dishes and donated items for shelter use.
  • Daily washing and disinfecting of carriers and litter boxes.
  • Willing to help customers with any questions they might have.
  • Will be expected to assist in conducting interactions between customers and adoption center animals.
  • Must keep all floors, hallways, and yards neat and clean.
  • Must be able to follow directions, work in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Time management skills are essential. A high school diploma or GED is required.
