BREVARD HUMANE SOCIETY WINS ‘TOP DOG’ EARNING THE TITLE OF “BUSINESS CHAMPION OF THE MONTH”

On February 23, 2018 the Brevard Humane Society was officially named Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce‘s “Business Champion of the Month”. The non-profit organization for homeless animals was recognized after providing a safe sanctuary for 62 Texas dogs, on Christmas Eve, in the wake of Hurricane Harvey.

“We are so proud of our team and thankful to receive this honor from the Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber. Being engaged and actively involved with the Chamber has helped us save so many more animals and to know that the decisions we have made, over the past 65 years, towards becoming a leader in animal welfare are valued by our community is simply wonderful,” said Theresa Clifton, Executive Director of the Brevard Humane Society. “

This prestigious recognition is based on monthly nominations the Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber receives from its chamber members. The intent of the award is to recognize local area businesses who are committed to providing superior customer experiences while improving their community. As a result, all monthly award recipients become eligible for the coveted “Business of the Year” award presented at the Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber’s annual banquet ceremony in September. If selected, it would be the fourth win in this category for the Brevard Humane Society in the last five years.
