FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BREVARD HUMANE SOCIETY’S “PAWS ON THE CATWALK” FASHION SHOW IS SURE TO BRING THE “PUP-A-RAZZI”

Wish your wardrobe had more bark than bite? On Saturday, May 19th, more than a dozen “haute” adoptable dogs, plus many of the area’s notable community leaders will grace the runway, for the Brevard Humane Society 4th annual “Paws on the Catwalk” charity fashion show. This year the glamorous luncheon will be held at the Melbourne Hilton Rialto located at 200 Rialto Place in Melbourne and will help raise awareness of the “Adopt. Don’t Shop” pet adoption crisis.

“Our dogs that walk the runway garner a lot of attention. When someone sees a dog on the runway that has been rescued, it changes the public’s perception of rescued pets,” said Theresa Clifton, Executive Director for the Brevard Humane Society. “More importantly, people will walk away from this event remembering what they saw which enables us to present the face of pet homelessness and the real necessity for adoption.”

If furry fashionistas weren’t enough, there will also be music, food, local vendors, and a silent auction to help raise the “woof”. The event hosted by Omni Healthcare will run from 10 am – 2pm, with the fashion show beginning promptly at noon with emcee Greg Pallone, Field Anchor and award winning journalist of News 13. Fashions featured at the event will be courtesy of Michael’s Men’s Store and Tallulah 9. Tickets for the luncheon are available online at: www.BrevardHumaneSociety.org and are just $30 per person. Plus, the first 100 guests will receive “doggie bags” full of treats and giveaways suitable for humans.
