Workplace Giving

Workplace giving is a simple and convenient way to give a little at a time while contributing in a big way. If you are not currently enrolled in your company’s workplace giving program, or if you are trying to decide which nonprofit to designate as your beneficiary, the Brevard Humane Society is an excellent choice for anyone who supports our mission and vision.

How does workplace giving work?

Workplace giving programs allow employees to make regular donations to eligible charities through their companies’ payroll system. Employees may contribute a set amount per paycheck, or make a one-time gift. You determine the charities you wish to support and pledge a tax-deductible amount. Your pledged donation amount is then automatically deducted from payroll, offering a convenient means of giving—and the potential to make an even greater impact by year-round sustained giving, without losing the tax benefits of charitable giving.

Ask your company today if they provide workplace giving campaigns or matching corporate donations.

United Way Campaigns

If your employer participates in a United Way Campaign, you can also support us through that effort. While animal welfare organizations are not typically permitted, many local United Ways will allow you to write in a charity of your choice (please use our full, official name: Central Brevard Humane Society).

Vehicle Donations

What better way to get rid of an old or extra vehicle. Through this simple act of kindness you will make a big impact for Brevard’s animals. The proceeds from the sale of your vehicle will directly support homeless pets in need and help find them permanent, loving homes, plus your gift is tax deductible!

  2. You will feel good knowing your donated vehicle will directly help the animals in your community. It will allow the Brevard Humane Society to provide care and new homes to pets in need and support other Humane Society programs. Your gift helps keep our doors open to all who need our services.
  3. Your gift is being used efficiently. Because we manage the sale ourselves, there are no “middleman expenses.” Therefore, 100% goes directly to the Brevard Humane Society.
  4. Because the Humane Society is not affiliated with any other local or national animal welfare organizations, nor do we receive tax dollars, we rely on the generosity of people like you to sustain this organization and its programs.

What vehicles does the Brevard Humane Society accept?

We accept donated cars, trucks, camper trailers, tractors, motorcycles, ATVs, RVs, boats, jet skis, etc. Campers/travel trailers and boats will be accepted based on their condition. The better the condition of the vehicle, the easier it is to sell it for a good price and the more money we have to care for our animals.
