BREVARD HUMANE SOCIETY DRIVES EXCITEMENT WITH THE “FOR THE LOVE OF DOGS” TRUCK GIVEAWAY

The Brevard Humane Society is gearing up for an exciting new opportunity that will financially aid its mission to provide a safe and healthy environment for its animals. The “For the Love of Dogs” truck drawing of a garage kept 2003 Toyota Tundra Dual Cab Pickup with approximately 68,000 miles, will raise critical funds necessary for Brevard Humane Society’s kennel renovation project in Cocoa.

“We are humbled by the donation of the truck from Mr. Charles Faulds. An ardent dog lover, he became passionate about our cause and felt a deep connection with our lifesaving mission after adopting several of our dogs. We are proud to host this event in tribute to his memory and we believe he would be honored to be remembered in such an important and meaningful way.” stated Theresa Clifton, Executive Director of the Brevard Humane Society.

New glass enclosed rooms would represent a major step forward for the Adoption Center, and the Brevard Humane Society is hopeful to begin the project at the first of the year.

“It’s just going to be amazing for the dogs,” Clifton said. “Unfortunately, the longer they remain in these chain link kennels, the more their personalities break down and their health breaks down. Once the renovations are complete, the dogs will be so much more adoptable. Plus, the new glass enclosures will also be easier to clean as well as healthier for the dogs.”

A charitable fundraiser for a worthy cause, tickets are just $25 and are limited to 2,000 to be sold. The name of the winning ticket will be drawn at noon on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 1020 Cox Road in Cocoa.  The winner does not need to be present to win.  Truck tickets are available for purchase online at www.BrevardHumaneSociety.org or any Molly Mutt Thrift Store location.
