BREVARD HUMANE SOCIETY HOSTS ITTY BITTY KITTY CON IN AN EFFORT TO ADOPT THE “WHOLE KITTEN-CABOODLE”

The Brevard Humane Society is hosting the largest kitten bash of the summer Saturday, June 16th at their Cocoa Adoption Center located at 1020 Cox Road. The Itty Bitty Kitty Con will be held from 1PM till 4PM and offers the public a chance to meet and take home a kitten in need of a family for just $35 or to adopt two for $60.

“Our Itty Bitty Kitty Con is a fun event that addresses a very serious problem,” said Theresa Clifton, Executive Director for the Brevard Humane Society. “Our community has experienced an unprecedented number of kittens this year and by adopting a kitten from the Brevard Humane Society you enable us to save even more lives.”

Adoptions will be processed first-come, first- serve and all available kittens at the event have been spayed/neutered, feline leukemia tested, given age appropriate vaccinations, and received a full vet exam. That day, a special reduced fee on microchips will be available for only $15 (normally $30) per adoption. In addition, each adopter will also receive a complimentary one year membership to the Brevard Humane Society to help with future wellness visits, services and products.

“With a goal of finding forever homes for over 200 homeless cats and kittens, we encourage anyone considering adopting their first cat or adding to their existing family to visit us. There will be dozens of kittens making their adoption debut, all hoping to find their new ‘fur’ever family,” said Michelle Deaton, Foster Care Coordinator for the Brevard Humane Society.

Information regarding all adoptable animals is available on the Brevard Humane Society’s website at: www.BrevardHumaneSociety.org. Potential adopters are also encouraged to check the Brevard Humane Society’s Facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/BrevardHumaneSociety/.
