BREVARD HUMANE SOCIETY PARTICIPATES IN THE HALLMARK CHANNEL’S KITTEN BOWL “CATS-RAVAGANZA”

The Hallmark Channel’s most beloved adoption extravaganza is back and furrier than ever when the nation’s cutest sporting event, Kitten Bowl V, returns on Sunday, February 4 at 12pm. The Brevard Humane Society is pleased to participate in the upcoming game which enables more adoptable pets to get off the sidelines and onto comfy armchairs.

“The Super Bowl tends to bring families together, so we love the idea that pet adoption is being promoted through the Kitten Bowl and more animals will be able to find their fur-ever homes,” stated Theresa Clifton, Executive Director of Brevard Humane Society.

This year’s epic matchup of ‘cat-letes’ were displaced kittens rescued from natural disaster locations throughout the U.S., all of whom will be vying for the National Championship trophy along with a loving, forever home in which to display it. On the day of the big game, the fur is sure to fly as fluffy kittens are placed into “teams” and onto a field full of obstacles such as hamster balls and tunnels. Depending on the cats’ abilities to navigate the obstacles and think “outside the litter box” will determine which team claws its way to ‘The Final Fur.’

The Hallmark Channel’s Dean Cain and Alison Sweeney, animal lovers and adoption advocates, will provide commentary throughout the event, in addition to heartwarming adoption stories. Any viewers looking to adopt their own armchair ‘cat’erback prior to the big game are encouraged to visit the Brevard Humane Society’s website at www.BrevardHumaneSociety.org or one of their Adoption Center locations in either Merritt Island or Cocoa.
