COCOA (Feb. 2, 2024) — Brevard Humane Society will be hosting its 18th annual Mardi Gras “Paws in the Park” fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25, at Riverside Park, 401 Riveredge Blvd., in The Historic Cocoa Village. Attendees can dress up their pets in their Mardi Gras finest for the event’s costume parade, with a king and queen to be crowned. There will be a canine lure course, vendors, and a silent auction. This family event will also include live music and food trucks. Admission is free. The organization advocates for spaying or neutering of animals to reduce the homeless pet population and provides a sanctuary for animals with the best quality care until they are placed in forever homes.
