Albert

Once a Dolly’s Dream Dog Always A Dolly’s Dream Dog.

Albert is a 6-year-old hound mix. He is a loving, goofy, cuddly guy who loves a good couch to lay on and a good walk! Albert loves to play fetch and bring the ball back to you. He would do great as a family dog but best if he were the only dog in the home. Albert is neutered and up to date on all vaccines. He is located at our 1020 Cox Road location where he is waiting to give you a smile and a snuggle!

Charles (Adopted)
Animal ID: A44151172
Once a Dolly’s Dream Dog Always A Dolly’s Dream Dog.

Charles is a 6 year old male pitbull mix.  He knows basic commands and would love to be in a peaceful loving home.  Charles has a high energy level and would do best with an owner who has an active lifestyle.  He is picky about his friends so he would do best as an only pet or with a female dog that can match his spirited personality.  He is neutered and up to date on vaccinations and flea prevention.  Charles is prone to ear infections so an owner must be diligent in checking his ears.  Charles has been waiting in the shelter for a new home for almost a year

Branson (Adopted)
Animal ID: A47772509
Once a Dolly’s Dream Dog Always A Dolly’s Dream Dog.

This is Branson.  He is a 3 ½ year old mixed Pitbull.  He is a very friendly guy that weighs about 60-65 pounds.  Bronson loves walk time and when the volunteers show up to take him for a stroll around the property he is stubborn about going back in his run.  He will stop about 2 feet from the door and refuse to move; he wants to walk outside some more.  Bronson is a clean dog but has been known to chew up a stuffed toy or two.   He is an active dog who would do best in a home with a fenced yard so he can run and play.   He seems to be ok around kids but he does not get along with cats.  Branson has been waiting several months for his new forever home.

Mona (Adopted)
Animal ID: A48012337
Once a Dolly’s Dream Dog Always A Dolly’s Dream Dog.

Once a Dolly’s Dream Dog Always A Dolly’s Dream Dog.

Spencer is a 2-year-old Pitbull that came to the shelter as a stray, but his owner never came to claim him. He is neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations, flea and heartworm prevention.

Arthur (Adopted)
Animal ID: A48012337
Once a Dolly’s Dream Dog Always A Dolly’s Dream Dog.

Arthur is an 8-year old Pitbull Terrier who came to the shelter as a stray and no one came to claim him. He is a friendly guy who loves to go for walks and socialize. Unfortunately Arthur tested positive for heartworms but treatment is included in his adoption fee. He is sweet old guy just waiting to go home.

Bruno (Adopted)

Once a Dolly’s Dream Dog Always A Dolly’s Dream Dog.

Bruno is a 4-year-old Pitbull that weighs 50 pounds. He was found as a stray and brought to the shelter but no owner came forward to claim her. He is extremely loving and sociable. He gets excited when he sees other dogs so he may be dog friendly. Bruno is very strong so he needs an owner that can control him on a leash. He is neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations, flea and heartworm prevention.

Sylvia (Adopted)
Animal ID: A47483827
Once a Dolly’s Dream Dog Always A Dolly’s Dream Dog.

This is Syliva, a cute and active 1-year-old pitty. She’s energetic, and perfect for an active and loving family. She finds small animals fun to chase, so a house with a cat would probably not be the best. Sylvia loves to be spoiled, so it would be best if she is the only animal in the home. She loves playing with chew toys and needs an understanding and patient home.

Viva (Adopted)
Animal ID: A48732671
Once a Dolly’s Dream Dog Always A Dolly’s Dream Dog.

Viva is a 1-year-old blue and white American Pit Bull Terrier and weighs approximately 33 pounds.  She is a very friendly and loving, cherishes her toys and is adorable when she does her zoomies 😊. Viva came to us from a high kill shelter in Georgia, she is very smart and knows her sit, and come when called commands. Viva is very strong and needs to go a home with no young children, cats or other dogs; she is spayed and up to date with all her vaccinations and monthly flea prevention.

Animal ID: A46851723
Once a Dolly’s Dream Dog Always A Dolly’s Dream Dog.

Becky is a 1 1/2-year-old Pitbull mix that weighs 50 pounds.  Becky was surrendered by her owner because of her size.  She has a high activity level so she needs an active family.

DEXTER (Adopted)
Animal ID:  A46678342
Once a Dolly’s Dream Dog Always A Dolly’s Dream Dog.

Dexter is a 1 ½-year-old Pitbull mix who weighs 70 pounds.   Dexter was surrendered to the shelter because his owners were unable to make time for him.  He is still just a big puppy who has a high activity level.  Dexter lived with 5 kids and a cat and knows how to use a doggy door.  Dexter would love a new home with a family that can keep up with his spirited personality.  He is neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations and flea prevention and is ready for a home where he will receive lots of attention and hugs.

MISTY (Adopted)
Animal ID: A45006054
Once a Dolly’s Dream Dog Always A Dolly’s Dream Dog.

I am a 55-pound, high energy, 2-year-old,  female Pit Bull. Fetch is one of my favorite past times and I love kids! A new family that enjoys long walks or hikes would make me a very happy dog. I don’t do well with cats but they probably don’t care too much for me either. If you like to be active, we are a perfect match!

MARCO (Adopted)
Animal ID:  A39730378
Once a Dolly’s Dream Dog Always A Dolly’s Dream Dog.

Marco had been with us nearly a year after being transferred in from South Carolina after Hurricane Florence. He was successfully fostered, to aid with his medical care, prior to being adopted thanks to Dolly’s Dream.

Once a Dolly’s Dream Dog Always A Dolly’s Dream Dog.

I am a beautiful, 2-year-old, male brindle Pit Bull. 73 pounds of pure love! I love to dig. Play time with my toys is my favorite time, but I do not like to share with other dogs. If you take the time to get to know me, I know you’ll love me.

RUSTY (Adopted)
Animal ID: 44205793
Once a Dolly’s Dream Dog Always A Dolly’s Dream Dog.

Rusty was adopted 10/26/2020 and came in as a stray and was heartworm positive. He has since been treated and found to be heartworm negative. He is a large Pitbull Terrier mix.  He is chocolate brown in color and about 3 years old.  He is very affectionate and seeks more attention when around people.  He enjoys walking on a leash and checking out all the new smells.  Rusty is neutered and up to date on all his shots including flea and heartworm prevention. Despite his large size, Rusty is a big cuddle bug but very vocal.

WINSLOW (Adopted)
Animal ID: 45896831
Once a Dolly’s Dream Dog Always A Dolly’s Dream Dog.

Winslow was surrendered to us by his owner because he became too large for her to care for. He was then adopted from us and returned in a week because he became possessive of the children and aggressive to the other family dog. He is a black and white pit bull terrier. He is about 7 years old and weighs about 60 lbs. He is incredibly loyal, a wonderful family dog, and very sweet. He loves to cuddle, play in the water, take car rides, and take naps (total lazy bones). He loves all people, especially children. He is house trained and would be perfect for a one-dog household. Winslow is truly a treasure.

APRIL (Adopted)
Animal ID: 45340282
Once a Dolly’s Dream Dog Always A Dolly’s Dream Dog.

April is a 4-year-old American Pitbull Terrier and Labrador Retriever mix. She is a compact little dog and weighs only about 40 pounds. She was left at the Humane Society as a stray but she is a friendly girl with a warm personality. April is very curious about her surroundings but that won’t distract her from hugs and snuggles! Pretty easy going, April would make a great fit in any household and gets along with cats and dogs alike.

LEXI (Adopted)
Animal ID: 45111896
Once a Dolly’s Dream Dog Always A Dolly’s Dream Dog.

Lexi is a Rhodesian Ridgeback/Retriever, Labrador mix. She is 6 years old and was surrendered to us on July 20th along with another dog. When she first arrived, she was very tame but since the other dog was adopted she has become more hyper and dog reactive. Once she’s had a the chance to wear out some energy, she is a friendly, mellow dog . She prefers a home with no cats because she gets overly excited and tries to charge at the cages when tested. She loves to run and play and is one of our volunteer dog walkers’ favorites because she’s so sweet and playful. She would do well in a home where there is a lot of opportunity to exercise.

ASH (Adopted)
Animal ID: 44905563
Once a Dolly’s Dream Dog Always A Dolly’s Dream Dog.

Ash is a boxer mix who is 4 years old and was brought to us on June 20th. He weighs 58.2lbs. He’s a very energetic dog who loves to play a lot. He needs a home where the owner isn’t afraid to help him learn how to channel his energy since he was never taught. Due to his energy level, we recommend a home with no kids under 12 or cats. He knows basic commands when you have his attention. He is easy to train since he is very treat motivated. He would love a companion who has an active lifestyle that he can be a part of.

CHUCKY (Adopted)
Animal ID: 44245049
Once a Dolly’s Dream Dog Always A Dolly’s Dream Dog.

Chucky came to our shelter as a stray after he was abandoned by his prior owner. He has a very active personality and loves to play. Chucky is good with other dogs and he doesn’t mind cats. He loves toys and going for walks.

VANESSA (Adopted)
Animal ID: 41930117
Once a Dolly’s Dream Dog Always A Dolly’s Dream Dog.

Vanessa came to our shelter as a puppy and has since been adopted and returned two times for having too much energy/requiring too much attention. Vanessa is very active and needs additional training to help channel her energy. Due to Vanessa’s high energy level, it would be best that she go to a home with another medium-large dog that can enjoy playing with her to keep her energy levels focused away from inappropriate behaviors. Before adoption, we require a mandatory interaction with all children and dogs that are living at the potential adopter’s home. Vanessa is not ideal for adoption with families with elderly or young children because of her rougher play.

CHICO (Adopted)
Animal ID: 44045384
Once a Dolly’s Dream Dog Always A Dolly’s Dream Dog.

Chico came to our shelter after being abandoned by his prior owner. Chico has a friendly personality and enjoys going for walks and playing with toys.

BUTCH (Adopted)
Animal ID: 42476185
Once a Dolly’s Dream Dog Always A Dolly’s Dream Dog.

Butch was transferred to the Brevard Humane Society from Sumter County Animal Services, as they are always overwhelmed with animals, causing unfortunate high euthanasia rates. We welcomed Butch with open arms, and while he took his time to get to know and trust our friendly shelter staff, he easily became one of the favorites! Butch is slightly timid when it comes to adult males/men that he is unfamiliar with, but once he gains trust, he is just full of love and affection. Butch keeps his kennel clean, so we believe he is either crate trained or housebroken. Butch does not have a history of biting, nor has he shown any aggression in the shelter environment. You don’t have to worry about the “terrible twos” with this boy! Butch is looking for someone to give him his fur-ever home and can’t wait to share his love with his new family!

DANTE (Adopted)
Animal ID: 43406570
Once a Dolly’s Dream Dog Always A Dolly’s Dream Dog.

Dante is a transfer from Puerto Rico following the continued aftermath of Hurricane Maria. He is a year old and is a friendly, high-energy dog who will chase anything that moves. Dante loves to play and is extremely active. Dante would greatly benefit from additional training to help channel his high energy.

DARLA (Adopted)
Animal ID: 37091310
Once a Dolly’s Dream Dog Always A Dolly’s Dream Dog.

Transferred from TX Rescue after Hurricane Harvey. Darla has been returned from adoption two times. The first time was after a year with her adopter because the adopter was moving and couldn’t take her. The second time, Darla was returned due to behavioral issues as she became very protective of her adopter and exhibited signs of aggression towards other people. Darla previously lived with young children and did well with them, but she does not like cats.

BLAKE (Adopted)
Animal ID: 38580594
Once a Dolly’s Dream Dog Always A Dolly’s Dream Dog.

Blake was originally surrendered as his owner unfortunately did not have enough time to care for him. Although adopted he was recently returned as his new owner was moving and was unable to take him.  Blake is extremely high energy and enjoys car rides, playing fetch, and running around and would benefit from the additional training Dolly’s Dream provides.

LOUIE (Adopted)
Animal ID: 40992342
Once a Dolly’s Dream Dog Always A Dolly’s Dream Dog.

Louie was surrendered after his prior owner suffered some health issues.  Louie enjoys car rides, fetch, and playing with balls; especially ones with a rope attached. Sadly, he was kept on the porch and became accustomed to sleeping outside. He is in need of some one-on-one training to help him cope with the stress of being in an adoption center environment.

LILLY AMBER (Adopted)
Animal ID: 34904016
Once a Dolly’s Dream Dog Always A Dolly’s Dream Dog.

Lilly Amber, although adopted, was recently returned after an unfortunate family break-up. She is an affectionate girl, who has unfortunately been returned multiple times due to no fault of her own (personal issues, landlord issues, too active for an older couple).

NELLY (Adopted)
Animal ID:  A35529886
Once a Dolly’s Dream Dog Always A Dolly’s Dream Dog.

Originally found as a stray, Nelly had been in and out of our care for a little over 2 years prior to becoming a Dolly’s Dream dog. She is a sweet girl who unfortunately had been returned several times due to her high energy and activity level, but now found her “furever” home thanks to Dolly’s Dream.
