The Levitetz Family Foundation

There are many myths that surround pit bulls and pit bull type dogs at no fault of their own. These dogs are stereotyped, abused, abandoned, neglected and surrendered every day. Each year 1.2 million dogs are euthanized, approximately 40% of whom are Pit Bulls. That is almost half a million pit bull type dogs that are killed in the shelter every year solely because of the way they look and due to overcrowding.  Today, the Levitetz Family Foundation’s mission is to bring communities together through the leadership, education, community involvement, awareness and rescue of pit bull type dogs through Dolly’s Dream.
