The Florida Department of Health in Brevard has issued a rabies alert after a stray cat tested positive for the fatal disease Thursday, 1/17 in the Friday Road & Fern Meadows area in Cocoa. The Brevard Humane Society offers a variety of internship opportunities for those interested in gaining hands-on experience with animal care and looking to learning from our dedicated caregivers.

Unpaid internships are open to college students, undergraduate and graduate students, as are other candidates who have equivalent life and work experience with animals and those looking to make a career change. Intern programs are open to people 20 years of age and over.

If you wish to be considered for an internship, please submit an application, a cover letter, résumé, two letters of recommendation from professors and/or employers and a transcript (unofficial transcripts are accepted).
